Jet Orientation Course (JOC) including multi-crew co-operation (MCC)

Offered in association with Simtech, The Pilot Training College’s JOC MCC course is designed to train pilots to become proficient in the safe operation of multi-crew airplanes under Instrument Flying Regulations (IFR). The objective of the course is to enable a pilot in command to fulfill their managing and decision making functions in a multi-crew environment regardless of whether they are operating as pilot flying (PF) or pilot not flying (PNF).

 

MCC and JOC in Full Motion training simulatorThe course is divided into two sections – theory and practical.  The theory course is divided into two modules using suitable classroom facilities, aided with PowerPoint presentations, slideshows, video presentations and accident reports. A cockpit procedure mockup and a full motion simulator will be used for the required practical exercises.

 

The course includes  3 days ground school and 28 hours full motion simulator covering the following exercises:

 

  • Basic general handling - various configurations
  • Use of autopilot and flight director
  • European route flights with enroute technical problems
  • Wind shear / Turbulence
  • Engine Failure / Fire before and after V1
  • GPWS procedures
