Jet Orientation Course (JOC) including multi-crew co-operation (MCC)
Offered in association with Simtech, The Pilot Training College’s JOC MCC course is designed to train pilots to become proficient in the safe operation of multi-crew airplanes under Instrument Flying Regulations (IFR). The objective of the course is to enable a pilot in command to fulfill their managing and decision making functions in a multi-crew environment regardless of whether they are operating as pilot flying (PF) or pilot not flying (PNF).
The course is divided into two sections – theory and practical. The theory course is divided into two modules using suitable classroom facilities, aided with PowerPoint presentations, slideshows, video presentations and accident reports. A cockpit procedure mockup and a full motion simulator will be used for the required practical exercises.
The course includes 3 days ground school and 28 hours full motion simulator covering the following exercises:
- Basic general handling - various configurations
- Use of autopilot and flight director
- European route flights with enroute technical problems
- Wind shear / Turbulence
- Engine Failure / Fire before and after V1
- GPWS procedures
