Become an Airline Pilot
Pilot Training College is one of Europe’s leading JAA approved flight training organisations. We operate from training centres in Europe and United States. The college trains up to 300 pilots each year and our training ethos is based on professionalism, focus and attention to detail.
We believe that initial pilot training is critical to setting the values and practices that a pilot will carry throughout his or her career in aviation. Our graduates are now flying with over 30 airlines from around the world.

International Partnership:
Pilot Training College is delighted to highlight its partnership with the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). Located at the FIT campus near Melbourne International Airport, Pilot Training College and FIT have developed a highly successful combined FAA/JAA training program.
FIT was founded in 1958 to train professionals to work at what is now the Kennedy Space Centre. Close to 6,400 students attend FIT each year with more than 1,700 students residing on the campus in purpose built accommodation.
Nearly all graduates of the FIT School of Aeronautics secure employment in the aviation industry in airline operations, airport and airline management, as flight crew members, and in varied, responsible positions within corporate aviation and government agencies worldwide. PTC has also invested heavily in the development of a new purpose built JAR flight training facility in Melbourne, Florida.

Pilot Training College – Best Locations
Florida is ideally suited to pilot training, with over 300 days a year of good flying weather.
Pilot Training College (PTC) believes that the best combination of aviation training is obtained by taking advantage of stable VFR conditions in the early stages of training, helping students to build their confidence and ability.
This is followed by exposure to more typical IMC conditions in the latter part of the training program, when students have achieved the proficiency levels to take full advantage of flying instruments.
Our combination of VFR training up to CPL / MEP level in Florida followed by ME / IR training in Ireland is the best of both worlds.
Pilot Training College offers a unique set of benefits for training and working in diverse aviation environments.
As a relatively small and elite facility, PTC focuses on enshrining the highest professional skills and ethos in our students.
Modern, high-tech fleet with glass cockpits
PPL and hours building students have access to FIT Aviation's fleet of over 40 aircraft. For those doing the JAA Commercial Pilots License, a fleet of two PA-28 Warriors and four PA-44 Seminoles are available. Nearly all of our training aircraft are equipped with the Avidyne Integrated Flight Deck System. This features large format, flat panel, liquid crystal displays that integrate all flight instruments and engine gauges.
Students begin flight instruction using analogue systems and progress to glass cockpits so that they are capable of flying traditional aircraft with the minimum of conversion time.
Career support through our Alumni Program
We give our graduates ongoing careers support through our Alumni Career Days and online career resources through our members-only website.
Fully qualified JAA instructors
PTC employs permanent, full-time, experienced instructors, who are all not just JAA endorsed but also hold full JAA licenses. They include lifelong professional instructors, as well as active and retired commercial and corporate jet pilots. These hard-working and dedicated professionals will ensure that your training is carried out to the highest standards and that you will be well prepared to excel in your commercial pilot career.
MEP/CPL flight tests conducted in Florida
All JAA MEP/CPL flight tests are conducted at the PTC facility in Melbourne International Airport, Florida by JAA examiners.
